Fami-choice TV

Time: 00:01 to 00:31

I’m very sorry.

Hello. This is the programme which informs you about the latest news of the gaming world much later than anyone else.

As we can’t get the support or endorsement of our peers, our news is always late and includes information from many months ago.

This is why I am apologizing.

Time: 00:36 to 01:31

In April at the Shinjuku Cultural Centre an orchestral concert was held for the Capcom title Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.

The event was split into two parts. The first half was to announce the latest title in the series on the Nintendo DS to fans.

In the second half, the audience were treated to an orchestral concert where the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra performed the theme tune for the game.

Also, there was a special guest appearance from TV Talent Minami Akina, a huge fan of the game, who herself queued outside a shop for hours on end when the new game was released. The audience were extremely excited at her arrival, making for a spectacular event.

Time: 01:32 to 02:56

Right, so in the latest title the main character is the public prosecutor Mitsuru. The setting is the scene of the crime rather than the court house.

So, for example if there was a murder incident, the pieces of evidence left behind and traces of the murderer would be examined at the scene and all inconsistencies would be pointed out. Who is the criminal?

Anyway, how cute is Akina! Her attire for the event was to resemble the character Chihiro from the game. So cute!

In fact, she is a fan of games in general, and always plays before she goes to sleep. So unbearably cute, don’t you think?

Time: 02:57 to 04:46

In the centre of Tokyo a ceremony to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Peach Boy Legend title (with over 10,000,000 manga books produced) was held.

Appearances were made by game director, Akira Sakuma and character designer, Takayuki Doi, who entertained the crowd with their witty manner.

It was announced that the 20th anniversary game would be available on the DS and the event turned out to be perfect for the special occasion.

The Peach Boy Legend is to welcome its 20th year. It’s a very happy story isn’t it?
Here is the first game sold 20 years ago, and this is the parody title released by Hudson Software.

It has captured the hearts of the nation, so who is to say what will happen from now on?

Speaking of which, with this episode, Fami-Choice TV has now been going for 1 year. Why has this programme been going on for that long?

Right, so let’s look at the highlights of one year of Fami-Choice TV. Roll tape!

It’s next month isn’t it. The one year anniversary is next month.

Time: 04:47 to 06:23

In April, the mass media commemorative…

It’s unrelated news so let’s just forget about it, ok? It’s a waste of time.

This spring, some shocking news hit the world of gaming. Please look at this.

The production company Enterbrain, which is responsible for Famitsu Wave DVD, announced a new chief editor. The new person, who took office from the 1st April, is Kojima Hajime, known by all as ‘Rupan’

Of course there has been a lot of reaction from within the company, with people saying things like, “He’s a dope.”, “There must be some mistake.”, “What on earth has happened?”, “Was it decided by a game of Mah-Jong?”, “Well I guess we have to accept it.”, “We’ll give all the work to him.”

Time: 06:24 to 07:02

This news is an incredible shock. Of course a lot of space was created to make room for celebratory flowers, but only 2 were received. What a great thing.

Now, let’s listen to Rupan to see how he wants the magazine to go forward from now on.

Time: 07:03 to 09:30

I’m Rupan Kojima the new chief editor of the Famitsu-Wave DVD magazine. We’re now overloaded with so many times of games, mobile-phone games, Playstation 3, the X-box 360, so there is a great amount of material out there.

I always feel that we can get across the charm and appeal of these games, so Famitsu Wave DVD as a magazine which captures so much variety will not change a great deal, with me now at the helm.

I want to keep things as they are, so that you and I both can keep enjoying these interesting games.

Lady: He was so sleepy wasn’t he? Even as the chief editor he’s still sleepy. Good luck Mr. Kojima!
