We have been waiting for this game for a long time now. And now that videos are finally up online, although they are very short and not really revealing either it is just great to see the game does really exist now.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is essentially the same thing as the remade Resident Evil game was for the Nintendo GameCube, but with less changes. Rumour has it that certain characters are going to be changed a bit to get them into play, such as Fei Long, and some moves are going to be remapped to have easier accessibility. While evening out the characters makes sense to me, the remapping of moves does not to be honest. Super Street Fighter II Turbo came out in 1994 and the HADOKEN and SHORYUKEN have had the same inputs ever since the game was created, why would you need to change any of these now, after 13 years?
Facts about the game that have been revealed so far by Capcom indicate that the whole game will be very fan-driven, meaning that Capcom will be working closely with the Street Fighter online community, so your posts may influence how the game turns out! As for the music, from what has been heard so far on the Ken and the Ryu levels, we will probably get some upbeat remixes of the classic themes of SSFT2HR.
The game is due to be available from the PS3 online store and the Xbox 360 Live Arcade section in spring 2008. I will keep this updated as the time draws closer to the actual release.
