CyberConnect’s .hack//LINK to be released on PSP in 2009

Famitsu confirmed that the very popular Anime, Manga and game series of .hack is making the jump on the portable gaming platforms. This time’s .hack//LINK which is due to come out on Sony’s PSP in 2009. Kotaku believes that this comes in a follow up to Capcom’s enormous success of it’s Monster Hunter 2nd G success which was also for the PSP. Yet .hack is a simulation of an MMORPG where’s Monster really is one so the audience isn’t quite the same. But it’s nice to see that .hack won’t just die along with the PS2 (whenever the PS2 really does stop breathing).

Both characters from .hack series as well as from G.U. will make (at least cameo) appearances in .hack//LINK but an exact date has yet to be confirmed.
