Street Fighter IV – London Ranking Battles 1.3

So Lakitu and me (I entered under the name Rockman) entered the UK Ranking Battles last Sunday, and hey I made top 8! Not too many people entered this time so it might not mean much, but I don’t care I made top 8 so there! In the quarter finals I got kicked out by another Balrog player (That’s Boxer not Claw). It was one of the most stupendous fights for both him and me. The amount of random moves we threw at each other… which were the EXACT same moves at the EXACT same time was plain ridiculous. Still it provided good laughs for the crowd.

The next RB’s have been cancelled to settle for a more popular location in central London. This means I got enough time to work on my Boxer VS Boxer match up – guess this would all be different if I was living in South California – that’s where the Balrog army resides. I am still absolutely in love with the game, and so far I’ve been playing a good 4 – 5 hours a day after I get home from the office which is quite impressive… I was never able to do that with Tekken for example. But as I am a big fan of Ryan Gutierrez’s (better known as Gootecks) Scrubs to Winners Clubs experiment, I am very keen on keeping the pace, even if just to find out how far I can take my Boxer in London (and it shouldn’t stop there!).
