What is PSN and why would I want it?

PlayStation Network is a non premium interactive online environment where you can play your games online, chat to friends, family and rivals around the world as well as surf the web and even go shopping in PlayStation’s own PlayStation Network Store (PSN Store). Apart from the items you purchase within stores, you’re not charged for anything. The sign up procedure to the PlayStation Network (PSN) is also free of charge, although if you’re having problems creating a Japanese PSN account we will do that for you, for a small fee.

Getting started with PlayStation Network (PSN) is as simple and quick as you’d imagine. Once you’ve chosen your unique PlayStation Network ID (PSN ID), you can use it to sign in on your PS3 and PSP, or on any of our PlayStation websites.

What is a PSN Network Card?

As the PlayStation Network is a digital space, the only way to pay is through Credit Cards. Under some circumstances you might not want to use a credit card: Your kids might use the console and run bills up on your card, you might want to gift the value of the card to someone else etc.. Not only that, if you’re not in Japan, chances are you’re probably gonna have a hard time getting your hands on a Japanese credit card to be able to pay in the store. You buy the card, within hours (minutes for the most part!) you receive your code from us, you enter the code and that’s it you now have credit on your account that can be utilized immediately to purchase all kinds of PlayStation Network (PSN) goods.
